Chelsea Rodriguez, MS
Chelsea Rodriguez, M.S., CMPC has worked as a Certified Mental Performance Consultant since 2016 with athletes from youth sport to the professional and Olympic levels, business executives, leadership staff and performing artists. Her passion for developing individuals and teams to perform at their optimal level has provided her with opportunities to speak at various conferences, develop programs for organizations in leadership development, team cohesion & development and mental toughness. Miss. Rodriguez’ fortes include confidence, motivation, team cohesion, team development, behavior change, conflict management, concentration & focus, resilience, coaching effectiveness, and self-determination.
Miss Rodriguez is also a professor and currently teaches Sport and Performance Psychology, Applied Sport Psychology, and Psychology of Injury at California State University, Fullerton. She also teaches Exercise Psychology at Concordia University, Chicago and Sport & Aging at Sacramento State University. Her diverse class load has allowed her to develop and implement challenging and inclusive curriculums for both undergraduate and graduate students. Aside from teaching at the university level, Miss Rodriguez has co-facilitated courses for the United States Office of Personnel Management in Conflict Management, Setting and Reaching Your Goals, Leadership Skills for Non-Supervisors, and Team Development.
Chelsea holds a M.S. in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sport and Performance Psychology from California State University, Fullerton and has completed work toward a second master’s from Arizona State University in Social Work. Chelsea's education gives her the ability and deep knowledge of both the psychology of sport performance and understanding the systems people come from to better understand behaviors. She is also certified in the Thomas-Killman Conflict Mode Instrument. Miss Rodriguez’ research focus is on mindfulness and its effects on sport anxiety and cognitive interference. As a Certified Mental Performance Consultant, she has accrued over 400 hours of mentored experience, completed coursework from regionally
accredited institutions of higher education, and is held to ethical principles and standards of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology Ethics Code. In 2015, she was awarded the Diversity Travel Grant from the Association of Applied Sport Psychology. This award is given to students from racially and diverse backgrounds who are interested in sport and exercise psychology.
Chelsea is deeply educated in working with diverse populations and strives every day to connect with her clients to meet them where they are and develop them into the most effective coach, executive, athlete, performing artist and human possible.
